BOYS’ BASKETBALL: Elias Chin breaks record as T.O. High cruises into second round

Elias Chin rewrote the Thousand Oaks High boys’ basketball record book. After recording a game-high 25 points in Thousand Oaks’ 66-51 win over visiting Martin Luther King, Chin stands alone as the leading point scorer for Thousand Oaks. The senior shot 9-11 from the field, while adding 14 rebounds and seven assists.

Trent MacLean added 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists for the co-Marmonte League champs. Luke Koren added five rebounds and four assists.

Thousand Oaks travels to Temecula Friday night to play Lindfield Christian in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 2AA playoffs.
