Newbury Park defeated visiting Loma Linda Academy 57-34 Saturday night in the CIF-SS Division 4 second round.
Greta Heath led the Panthers’ with a game-high 18 points and 16 rebounds while Skylar Komatsu added 17 points. Kimiko Carmer recorded 10 points and six steals. Kai Mekari locked down the Panthers’ defensive effort with 7 steals.
Newbury Park will travel to Pacifica of Garden Grove Wednesday night in the quarterfinal match up.
